2021 CEO Annual Report: The Ridge Publishing Group
Our content development strategy is designed to increase viewership, maintain innovation and quality leadership, and provide value for our network of fans. Education in Content – As long as there have been religious texts, there have been theologians studying and writing about them. St. Augustine and Thomas Aquinas are two of the most famous early theologians whose writings are still studied today. Theological study in America had its start in the early 18th century when individual pastors would take one or two students under their tutelage. In 1812, the Theological Seminary of the Presbyterian Church at Princeton in New Jersey was founded. This was the first institution to focus on the education of theology in a systematic way. Today, there are hundreds of seminary and university religious programs that focus on the study of God.
To make education available – to anyone at any age – Education in Games offers innovative and engaging books and board games, which provide education experiences that strengthen social bonds, encourage cooperation and interaction, and benefit everyone in our community. For less than what it can cost to take the family to the movies for a couple of hours, you can bring home a book or board game that will provide years of education and enjoyment. It’s the satisfaction of rereading or replaying an old favorite and realizing you’re an “expert” now.
For today’s media-centric society, books and board games are an appropriate and effective teaching tool. Books and board games increase brain function and stimulate brain areas that are responsible for complex thought and memory formation. Books and board games bring laughter, which decreases stress. Books and board games facilitate happiness, which is a vital ingredient for creativity and an enjoyable learning experience. Most important, books and board games engage in activities that do not involve staring at a smartphone, tablet, or computer screen. Playing pushes people to develop a stronger sense of resourcefulness and individuality that leads to a greater self-esteem and fulfilling feeling of being informed, included, and noticed.
The Ethan Fox Books Franchise
Publishers and Hollywood are still simultaneously clamoring to fill the void left by the Harry Potter franchise. And publishers are offering big advances for debut novels that promise to lure young adults alike and reach fans of literary and commercial fiction. Although E. L. Seer’s debut fantasy novel, Ethan Fox and the Eyes of the Desert Sand, book #1 in the Ethan Fox Books original series faces fierce competition in the industry’s ongoing search for the next big crossover fantasy book series, it may be the next great phenomenon . . .
The Night Circus claim they have it . . . Legend said they have it . . . The Age of Miracles hoped to have it . . . Other fantasy franchises pitched more squarely at young adults have been touted as more promising heirs to Harry Potter.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan have more than 20 million copies in print. The fourth and final book of the Inheritance Cycle series by Christopher Paolini was next released. The book series has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. In 2006, a feature film was released that was based on the first book in the cycle. Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage was optioned by Warner Bros. to produce a movie based on the first book. All three series have been bestsellers, but their combined sales don’t come close to J. K. Rowling territory. See full Article – The Race to Discover the Next Harry Potter Franchise Continues on our website at https://www.EthanFoxBooks.com.
The Ethan Fox Books original series is a visually stunning read, set within a hidden universe with Earth at its center. Ethan Fox and the Eyes of the Desert Sand, book #1, tells the story of two young teens, Ethan and Hayley. The teens are mysteriously drawn together to solve the story’s biggest puzzle and unlock the door to the four portals – portals to the four elemental worlds of the Chrysalis. It is chock-full of characters, creatures, situations, and complications. But what makes it all work is that you just love Ethan, Hayley, Gruggins, and many of the other protagonists while viewing the antagonists, Victor, Daavic, the Grimleavers, and others to the story with equivalent disdain. Everything works because everything is built around them – Ethan and Hayley’s situation, their fears, their strengths, and their mistakes. The new worlds, the new beings, the new ideas are wonderful creations but without those people, they mean nothing. Romance, rivalry, and plenty of suspense ensue. Along the way, E. L. Seer brings forth an alternate reality, and through his vision is sure to bring joy to millions.
The Ethan Fox Books original series has the key features that will help make these books a major franchise. Like the Harry Potter franchise taught publishers how to make event publishing resemble event-film releases, the Ethan Fox Books original series publisher, The Ridge Publishing Group, is becoming a presence that cannot be ignored either. Their aggressive marketing plan includes numerous licensing deals, and extensive interactive websites developed for children and young adults resulting in an enhanced reading experience, a free to join KidsStagramCLUB, an Ethan Fox KidsStagram™ official blog, an Ethan Fox KidsStagram Magazine, and philanthropy work within children’s hospitals – making a difference everywhere we go – see https://www.KidsStagram.com/Pilanthropy, and much, much more, from the onset. With that said, excitement is building, and predictions are that high level excitement will continue.
In fact, we are no stranger to HarperCollins, MacMillan, and Warner Bros. In 2011, Warner Bros. Pictures, Courtenay Valenti, Executive Vice President Production at that time reviewed “Chrysalis Chronicles: The Eyes of the Desert Sand by Edwin Wolfe” and kept it for more than a month before being rejected. And there were others too – the following press releases are available upon request:

- October 11, 2011 – St. Martin’s Press Requests ARC: MacMillan Children’s Book Publishing Group

- December 5, 2011 – Chrysalis Chronicles: The Eyes of the Desert Sand Catches the Eyes of Warner Bros., Barry Meyer Submission.

- January 4, 2012 – Warner Bros. Pictures: Courtenay Valenti, Executive Vice President Production: Responds One Month later.
Why 2011 and 2012 references? Since then, life had gotten in the way (cancer, caregiving, burying parents, relocation, and so on). For the next few years, E. L Seer would refine his original work and become a phenomenal writer, working with content editor, Felicity Carter – a referral from HarperCollins. We officially, launched our new Company in 2021 with the release of book #1, Ethan Fox and the Eyes of the Desert Sand in the Ethan Fox Books original series. Book #2, Ethan Fox and the Shadow Princess will be released in 2022. Other upcoming titles include book #3, Ethan Fox and the Kraken’s Fury scheduled to be released in 2023, book #4, Ethan Fox and the Trinity of Darkness thereafter, and so on. Along with each of these books are companion books (Wordly Pagemore’s Early Worm Activities & Games), Chapter books (character backstories from the original series, e.g., Mayhem in the Moongarden), coloring books, magazines, etcetera.

Competition
Providing content across various distribution platforms is a highly competitive business worldwide. Our ability to produce popular content is an important competitive factor for the distribution of our content, attracting viewers, and advertising. Our success in producing popular content and creativity depends on various factors such as the number of competitors providing content that targets the same genre and audience, the distribution of our content, viewership, and the production, marketing and advertising. Our publishing house competes with other publishing houses. Our publishing house and paper products and digital products also compete for their target audiences with all forms of content and other media provided to viewers.
Intellectual Property
Our intellectual property assets include copyrights in content, trademarks in brands, names and logos, technology platforms, websites, and licenses of intellectual property rights from third parties.
We are fundamentally a content company and the protection of our brands and content is of primary importance. We have also made and will continue to make investments in developing technology platforms to support our digital products and offerings, and consider these platforms to be one of our intellectual property assets. To protect our intellectual property assets, we rely upon a combination of copyright, trademark, unfair competition, trade secret and Internet/domain name statutes and laws, and contract provisions. However, there can be no assurance of the degree to which these measures will be successful. Moreover, effective intellectual property protection may be either unavailable or limited in certain foreign territories. Policing unauthorized use of our products and services and related intellectual property is difficult and costly. We seek to limit unauthorized use of our intellectual property through a combination of approaches. However, the steps taken to prevent the infringement of our intellectual property by unauthorized third parties may not be effective.
Third parties may challenge the validity or scope of our intellectual property from time to time, and the success of any such challenges could result in the limitation or loss of intellectual property rights. Irrespective of their validity, such claims may result in substantial costs and diversion of resources which could have an adverse effect on our operations. In addition, piracy, which encompasses theft, and unauthorized use of our content, in the digital environment continues to present a threat to revenues from products and services based on our intellectual property.
