Coeur D’Alene, ID (January 17, 2021) – In the preceding year, again, in the face of challenging conditions in all markets we serve, The Ridge Publishing Group was successful on many fronts, including launching an aggressive campaign for the upcoming release of E. L. Seer’s debut novel, Ethan Fox and the Eyes of the Desert Sand, in the Ethan Fox Books series (official publication date, March 31, 2021).  Our focus has been on marketing Ethan Fox Books as a brand that can sell year-over-year by way of its target audience (middle grade/young adult) divergent from its publication date.  Independently, we have focused on building our publishing house brand with a large pipeline of upcoming titles, authors, series by way of networking — word-of-mouth — and the development of our independent website www.RidgePublishingGroup.com.  Late in the year, we launched directed start-up activities for The Ridge Publishing Group Holding Companies: Rags to Riches Entertainment (imprint) and AuthorsDoor (imprint).  These initiatives together with our growth strategies will assist us in our efforts to reach profitability.  We continue to leverage our expertise in the “Company building mindset” segment of the publishing markets.

 

Our Recent Financial Performance and Forecast

We continue to build on our legacy of excellence, entrepreneurial energy, and teamwork with little debt and self-funding the company.  With respect to investing in the next big thing in today’s market, there are two things that are driving the growth of U.S. marketplaces: (1) access to these attractive private investment opportunities and (2) the average time for a ventured-back company to actually go public has increased from about 4-1/2 years to 10-1/2 years.  The Ridge Publishing Group is entering its second year and expects its first revenues Q2’2021 and positive cash flows Q3’2021, well within this adjusted timeframe.

 

Our 2020 CEO Annual Report Achievements and Milestones

Our early 2020 efforts included restructuring the business to a privately held Company in line with our decision to look primarily no longer to outside investors for funding and consequently loss of control.  We continued to maintain our collectively acquired businesses: Aauvicom Group, Aauvi House Publishing Group, and Fox Hunt Publishing Group, under The Ridge Publishing Group umbrella.  In addition, we continued extensive development of The Ridge Publishing Group’s Christian education books and games — the Guardians of Biblical Truth Publishing Group, the Hoyle Theology Publishing Group, Documentaries in Print Publishing Group, and Education in Games Publishing Group. These companies will become the primary resource for sales and branding efforts for The Ridge Publishing Group businesses as well as potentially take on outside-businesses as partners.

 

First quarter 2020 also involved the continued development of its four directed start-ups mentioned above. This effort has been ongoing (behind the scenes) since November 2018.  In a nutshell, The Ridge Publishing Group is an up-and-coming American worldwide book, film, and board game Company. It is setup to becoming one of the largest theology teaching resource in the world in terms of books, textbooks, documentaries, and board games and card decks. Herein, The Ridge Publishing Group owns the trademarks and copyrights of the Guardians of Biblical Truth Publishing Group and the New Narrated Study Bible series, the Hoyle Theology Publishing Group and the Hoyle Theology Encyclopedia seminary textbook series (independent study program), Documentaries in Print Publishing Group and the Defending the Faith — Two Worlds, Lost World, New World series, and Education in Games Publishing Group and the Heaven’s Seminary board games and card decks.

 

During the second quarter of 2020, our publishing efforts soared with our focus on the Education in Games Publishing Group, a subsidiary of The Ridge Publishing Group and publisher of the Heaven’s Seminary — The Flagship Edition board game series comprising three games: Heaven’s Seminary — Mission I (strategy game), Mission II (tactics game), and Mission III (arsenal game) — boards, rules for play book, play books, card packs and card decks. A unique feature of the card decks is that they can also be used to play additional card games outside of Heaven’s Seminary — The Flagship Edition. Education in Games Publishing Group gets our kids, teens, and young adults ready for the world without the burden of student debt.

 

During the third quarter, we turned a corner once again, and set our primary focus on wrapping up our other businesses so that we could solely focus on our primary business: The Ridge Publishing Group’s Christian education books and games. First step was to close the Aauvicom Group business of marketing, selling, branding, and public relation businesses. Instead, we pooled our knowledge from within the Aauvicom Group business and created a new imprint, AuthorsDoor Group, comprising three series: Roadmap Strategies for Startups, EntrepreneursOpen, and The Millionaire Mindset. As a second step, we dissolved the Aauvi House Publishing Group in its entirety, which survived its Rags to Riches Entertainment imprint book series:  Insiders’ Lifestyle Guides program series (21 book series). Lastly, we dissolved the Fox Hunt Publishing Group with the spinoff of Ethan Fox Books.

 

At year-end 2020, we wrapped up a strong foundational platform with the scheduled release rollout of 27 titles in our 2021 pipeline. Our approach in how we do business today is changing the way the publishing industry does business now and beyond.  We perceive the days of publishing house consolidations to create barriers to entry for other publishers is over. Throughout the beginning of time, there were only self-publishers, up until just a few decades ago when Publishers Row entered the marketplace. Now, we say the tide is coming back around, full circle, putting the indie author-publishers back in charge with venues like Amazon and Ingram, and aggregators like Smashwords and Draft2Digital. And why not? Publishers’ Row lack of integrity and scholarly interest with primary focus on nonsense celebrity and worse reality television publishing over literary author works — becoming more and more a tabloid industry — not to mention their mindset of non-involvement in marketing and sales of their own books is over.  In response, The Ridge Publishing Group will be known for its scholarly interest in literary author works; author friendly, supporting its own publications, cutting out hierarchy and industry middlemen; and innovations in e-commerce in line with our changing global world.

 

Our Commitment to Achieve Profitability

As a company and senior management team, we are committed to and focused on independently launching our product lines, one at a time, while controlling our cost structure.  We expect to carry large amounts of cash on-hand with little debt ongoing.  To escalate the launch of our entire business portfolio — Ethan Fox Books imprint, AuthorsDoor Group imprint, and Rags to Riches Entertainment imprint, in partnership with The Ridge Publishing Group, parent Company — in 2021 we will continue to investigate human capital acquisition opportunities that will expand our presence in the publishing and entertainment markets, which will allow us to take advantage of our strong developing domestic and international channels.  We repeat that The Ridge Publishing Group was founded on a market opportunity — barriers to entry in publishing and education — which clearly needs to be corrected.  Our plan remains consistent to leverage our sales and distribution channels in support of both domestic and international growth opportunities.  We also believe our strategy is well suited to growing revenues as we look for additional opportunities in preserving quality in our markets.
